Bulldog Puppy Breeders

Bulldogs were bred in England in the 1500’s. They were first bred for bull baiting, a very popular sport of this era. These dogs were bred for the fierce fighting capacity. They were famous for latching onto their prey with their iron jaws. They would refuse to let go and quite often suffocated their opponents. In the 1830’s this sport was outlawed and the bulldog lost his popularity. But luckily there was a small devoted group of people that kept the breed alive and through their breeding did away with any trace of ferocity.
